South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership launches business bootcamp

The South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership is kicking off another session of HustleSBE on April 9.

HustleSBE is geared toward minority and female business owners who have at least one year in business. The program focuses on helping owners generate new ideas, explore new customer solutions and shore up current practices to build stronger foundations for their businesses.

HustleSBE was created to foster peer connections among business owners and to support accountability between participants.

Participants will attend eight classes over eight weeks. Sessions are structured around the needs of the participants. Topics include business models, access to capital and growth strategies. During the sessions, cohort members learn from mentors, experts and one another.

This marks the seventh time the partnership will offer HustleSBE. The first cohort started in 2020. Since then, 53 participants have completed the program. Upon graduating, participants are connected to capital resources. As of 2024, $40,000 has been allocated to HustleSBE graduates.

The next session launches April 9. Applications are open until 5 p.m. March 29. Businesses must have headquarters in the South Bend-Elkhart region, which includes Elkhart, Marshall and St. Joseph counties in Indiana, and Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan. More information about the program can be found at hustlesbe.org.

The South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership is a collaboration of economic development partners from 47 communities in Northwest Indiana. The partnership works to advance the Region’s economy and to attract industries and workers. The South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership was formed in 2011.
