Two Elkhart companies in round 4 of Coolest Things contest

The Indiana Chamber’s fifth annual Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana tournament is in round four and two Elkhart companies are in the running.

Elkhart Brass Manufacturing and Polaris Marine are competing for a spot in the semi-finals.

“With each passing round, the competition for the honor of making the coolest thing in this great state just gets more intense,” said Vanessa Green Sinders, Indiana Chamber president and CEO, in a press release. “At this point, with the quality of this year’s field, it’s really cool versus cool. But in the end, there can only be one ultimate winner. I, for one, can’t wait to see who it’s going to be. And the way the votes are flying in, I’m not alone.”

Other companies in the running are:

  • Goulding and Wood Pipe Organ Builders / Indianapolis
  • Harpsicle Harps / Rising Sun
  • Hensley Fabricating & Equipment Co., Inc. / Tippecanoe
  • Rolling Pin Bakehouse / Fort Wayne
  • Stone Horses / Shipshewana
  • Wireless Deer Fence / Unionville

Elkhart Brass Manufacturing is competing against Wireless Deer Fence based in Unionville, and Polaris Marine against Goulding and Wood Pipe Organ Builders in Indianapolis. Quarterfinal voting ends Jan. 7.

Voting takes place at www.indianachamber.com/coolestthing and closes at 9 p.m. on the final day of each round.

Top finishers will earn awards at the Indiana Chamber’s Best in Business Awards Luncheon on Jan. 26 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
