The South Bend Regional Chamber is hosting its Salute to Business Luncheon Feb. 27.
The luncheon recognizes and honors individuals and businesses in the South Bend region. The gathering will feature the presentation of six awards. The awards spotlight individuals and businesses that have played a role in shaping the success of the community.
The awards include:
- Distinguished Business Leader – Gary Fox (Crowe)
- Economic Impact – Amazon Web Services
- Lifting Voices – South Bend Civic Theatre
- Outstanding Young Business Leader – David Walters (Gibson)
- Small Business of the Year – Pure Green Farms
- Woman of Influence – Andrea Short (1st Source Bank)
University of Notre Dame Athletic Director Pete Bevacqua will serve as guest speaker. Bevacqua became vice president and James E. Rohr Director of Athletics at Notre Dame March 25, 2024.
Prior to his time at Notre Dame, Bevacqua was the third chairman in the history of NBC Sports. He serves as a co-chair of RISE, an alliance of major sports organizations, that promotes racial equality across the U.S. sports landscape. Bevacqua previously served as CEO of the PGA of America. A 1993 graduate of Notre Dame, Bevacqua earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
The Salute to Business Luncheon will take place 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Century Center in South Bend. Doors open at 11 a.m. for networking.
