Lark’s Grooming Station will celebrate its opening in downtown South Bend with a ribbon cutting Feb. 28.
Founded by Kintae Lark, Lark’s Grooming Station is a grooming and wellness barber-salon. It will offer a range of services, including haircuts and beard grooming, braiding and loc maintenance, manicures and pedicures, facial and relaxation massage and waxing. It will also sell grooming products.
By offering both traditional grooming and spa-inspired treatments, Lark’s Grooming Station aims to redefine self-care for men in South Bend.
“I want to create more than just a barbershop. I want to build a space where people come to feel refreshed, confident and part of a community,” Lark said in a press release. “This is about more than grooming. It’s about wellness, relaxation and self-care.”
Lark’s Grooming Station will offer a third-shift opportunity for services Sunday nights into Monday mornings. The goal is to expand this opportunity as time passes. The salon will also offer training. A clipper cut training class for mothers will take place March 9.
The ribbon cutting event will take place 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at Lark’s Grooming Station, 117 N. Main St., South Bend. Downtown South Bend, local leaders and the business community will be on hand for the ceremony. Community members are invited to attend, see live demonstrations and meet the team.
