Franciscan Health Michigan City is hosting a free Way to Grow Baby Shower Oct. 12 for expectant families and new parents.
Parents or soon-to-be parents are invited to join staff of the Family Birth Center and providers to learn about multiple topics. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about car seat safety, prenatal care, safe sleep, breastfeeding support, childbirth classes and community resources.
The event will feature tours of the Family Birth Center, a breakfast buffet and giveaways. Additional health vendors and community resource representatives will be on hand. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter to win a DOONA Stroller.
The Way to Grow Shower is scheduled to take place 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Oct. 12 at Franciscan Health Michigan City. The event will be held in the Maria Theresia Conference Room across from the cafeteria on the first floor.

Franciscan Health is a 12-hospital health system which includes clinics, home health services and doctors. The health system serves Indiana and Illinois.
