Nominations are live for Michiana Forty Under 40, a celebration of regional leaders under the age of 40.
The program recognizes young professionals, adults, executives and leaders who demonstrate career success and a commitment to making a difference in their communities. The program honors individuals who excel in their fields and dedicate time and service to enrich the Michiana region.
The Michiana Forty under 40 initiative aims to highlight the diverse talent and dedication shaping the region's present and future. It also aims to inspire others. This marks the 19th class of honorees.
The South Bend Regional Chamber and Young Professionals Network South Bend partner to present the program, along with other organizations and chambers of commerce in the Region.
Qualifications include:
- Initiative and dedication in pursuing a career
- Proven success and achievement in a job/career
- Investment in and service to others through involvement in civic, charitable and/or religious organizations
- Passion for community, giving back because of that passion
- Under the age of 40 on May 15. Minimum age is 22
- Live and work in Michiana (La Porte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke & Marshall counties in Indiana; and Cass & Berrien counties in Michigan)
- Lived in the Michiana region (La Porte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, Starke & Marshall counties in Indiana; and Cass & Berrien counties in Michigan) for a minimum of two consecutive years at time of nomination
- Nominees may be eligible in these and other industry sectors: education, health care, business/professional, social services/not-for-profit, government/public service, financial, services, IT, trades, manufacturing, logistics, retail and more
- Self nominations are not accepted
Nominations opened Jan. 28. The deadline to submit a nomination is March 3. The 2025 class will be honored at a luncheon May 16 at Gillespie Conference Center in South Bend.
