Airport launches GoodMaps

South Bend International Airport is introducing GoodMaps, an interactive digital map and wayfinding service, Aug. 27.

The GoodMaps app will offer real-time guidance for all travelers, including those with disabilities.

A public event will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 27, in the atrium east of the Delta ticket counter. Attendees will experience live, hands-on demonstrations and training of the GoodMaps app. They can engage in conversations around accessibility and innovation. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the GoodMaps team to learn about the new app and interactive map features for use while traveling.

“We’re excited to partner with South Bend International Airport to make travel more accessible and stress-free for everyone,” said Theresa Reno-Weber, GoodMaps CEO, in a press release. “SBN is leading the way in Indiana and setting a standard for accessibility and customer service across the airport industry that we are proud to be a part of.”

Mike Daigle, South Bend International Airport CEO and executive director, said when his team learned about the GoodMaps app, they knew it was something they wanted to offer to everyone who flies in and out of the airport.

The GoodMaps: Indoor Navigation app can be download from the iOS: App Store or Android: Google Play Store.
