Before joining Howard Bailey, she began her professional journey as a math teacher and later moved into an assistant principal role, working with kids from pre-k to 12th grade. These experiences cultivated her love for helping others learn and grow, making her transition into the financial industry a natural extension of her desire to support and educate others. Troyer earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Manchester University and a master's degree in educational administration from Ball State University.
