Bowen Health has opened a new health clinic in South Bend, and will open another in Bremen on Dec. 17.
The first clinic is in the Southeast Neighborhood Center at 405 E. Dubail Ave. United Way of St. Joseph County, along with community partners, built the neighborhood center. Anchored by an early learning program, the facility houses holistic social, health, youth and senior services.
The clinic will offer mental health care, primary health care and substance use counseling. It will serve everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
“We are excited for Bowen Health to begin offering services in the South Bend community,” said Mark Herriman, United Way of St. Joseph County CEO, in a press release. “Access to high-quality mental health care is of paramount importance to overall community wellbeing. United Way is proud to partner with Bowen Health as they bring new resources to South Bend.”
Mark Groeller, Bowen Health executive director, hired Lola Bosstel to oversee clinic operations as practice administrator. She has previous practice management experience in St. Joseph County.

Bowen Health also is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 17 to celebrate its new health clinic in Bremen.

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting celebration. The event will take place at 2 p.m. Dec. 17. The Bowen Health office is at 1120 W. South St. in Bremen. Tours of the facility will follow. Community members will be able to meet the staff, enjoy refreshments and receive a gift.
