Warsaw-based Bowen Health has opened its new health clinic in South Bend.
The clinic will offer mental health care, primary health care and substance use counseling. The new clinic serves everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
The clinic is in the Southeast Neighborhood Center. United Way of St. Joseph County, along with community partners, built the neighborhood center, at 405 E. Dubail Ave. in South Bend. Anchored by an early learning program, the facility houses holistic social, health, youth and senior services.
“We are excited for Bowen Health to begin offering services in the South Bend community,” said Mark Herriman, United Way of St. Joseph County CEO, in a press release. “Access to high-quality mental health care is of paramount importance to overall community wellbeing. United Way is proud to partner with Bowen Health as they bring new resources to South Bend.”
Mark Groeller, Bowen Health executive director, has hired Lola Bosstel to oversee clinic operations as practice administrator. Bosstel has previous practice management experience in St. Joseph County.
“South Bend is a strong Indiana community with a rich history, full of hard-working Hoosiers that deserve access to quality healthcare,” Groeller said. “If you need help addressing your health care needs, the care team at the South Bend clinic is here to serve you.”
