Mishawaka-based Schurz Broadband Group is offering data protection and managed cloud services to its broadband customers through its sister company, Otava.
Otava will work with Schurz’s six broadband companies. It will deliver broadband customers protection against cybersecurity attacks, ransomware events and other threats that could disrupt business operations.
“By teaming up with Otava, our broadband service providers can ensure that broadband customers receive the cybersecurity protections they need to safeguard their data and grow their businesses,” said John Reardon, Schurz Communications CEO, in a press release.
TJ Houske, Otava CEO, said the partnership will drive speed, agility and future success for Schurz customers.
“We have significant experience working with growing regional businesses, providing the cloud infrastructure, data protection and edge computing solutions that they need most,” Houske said.
Schurz Communications recently announced the formation of Schurz Broadband Group. The new division is designed to unify and amplify the strengths of regional fiber-based internet providers under one broadband organization.
Schurz Broadband Group includes six regional companies: Antietam Broadband in Maryland, Burlington Telecom in Vermont, Hiawatha Broadband in Minnesota, Long Lines Broadband in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota, NKTelco in Ohio and Orbitel Communications in Arizona. Otava is working with each of the providers to address the specific needs of their regional customers.
“The Schurz Broadband Group and Otava share the same culture and values and excel at connecting people with information and technology that positively benefit local communities,” Diego Anderson, Schurz Broadband Group president, said. “Together, we demonstrate the power of partnerships by extending our impact with advanced, integrated solutions backed by world-class service and care.”
