The Potawatomi Zoo is opening for the season March 28.
Two of the zoo’s attractions, the Potawatomi Zoo Express Train and Endangered Species Carousel, will be open during the 2025 season.
Giraffe feeding will be one of the zoo’s daily scheduled attractions. It will take place either on the outdoor giraffe deck or inside the giraffe barn visitor center in inclement weather.
The Lodge and Farmhouse Café concessions will both be open daily during the zoo season.
This year, the zoo’s education department will have a range of classes and camps in both the Learning Center and the AEP Foundation STEM Classroom. Spring classes are currently in session, and zoo camps begin in June.
The zoo will continue to host a series of events this year including Zoo Luminate through May 25, Children’s Day June 11, Zoo Rendezvous June 14, Brew at the Zoo Sept. 27, Zoo Boo Oct. 17-19 and the Gift of Lights, beginning Nov. 28.
Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily in March, April, May, September and October. From June 1 to Aug. 31, the zoo is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
