Women’s conference to highlight career development

The 2024 Professional Women’s Conference on Nov. 13 at Michigan City-based Blue Chip Casino will emphasize career development.

The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association is presenting the event. The conference is expected to draw over 500 professional women from various industries. They will gather to network and gain insights about professional advancement, leadership and empowerment.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals serving as speakers. Guest speakers include:

  • Christine Sandman Stone, author and CEO, will lead the session “Modern Bada$$: Succeeding in Today’s Workplace,” sharing strategies for success in today’s evolving business environment.
  • Missy Shopshire, author and business coach, will speak on “Dream Big: Unleash Full Potential.” Shopshire will guide participants in unlocking their full potential for both personal and professional success.
  • Valentine Torres, author and teacher, will present “Managing Time and Maximizing Potential,” offering time management strategies and tips for acquiring organizational skills for professionals.
  • Kimberly Tocco, CEO and metaphysical healer, will lead the session “From Strikes to Strength: Joy in Your Career.” Tocco will offer insights into finding resilience and joy in the workplace.
  • Stephanie Jones, TedX speaker, author and business coach, will present “Tackling Burnout: Giving to Yourself, Like You Give to Others.” The session will focus on self-care and balance.
  • Mark Dolfini, author and life and business strategist, will deliver a session on “The Depths of a Personal Vision: Everything is About to Change,” focusing on the power of creating a personal vision to achieve professional and personal growth.
  • Cortney Spencer, social media influencer, will discuss “Content is Queen: Building Social Media Business,” helping attendees enhance their online presence.
  • Jessica Tepasw, writer and speaker, will focus on resilience in “Bouncing Forward: How to Propel Forward Through Failure,” offering tips for learning from the past and driving the future.
  • Elizabeth Volini, executive director and presenter, will explore the role of AI in business with “Women Using AI: Breaking the Code,” discussing the intersection of technology and female leadership.

Additional breakout session speakers will be announced at a later date.

The event will take place 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City. Tickets for the conference are $195 and include continental breakfast, lunch, access to vendors and all sessions. Learn more here.

The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association is a regional group for the professional development of women and their careers. It aims to provide opportunities for professional growth through leadership, support and education in a variety of industries.
