A new business center is opening in the concourse at South Bend International Airport.
Officials will celebrate the event with a ribbon cutting ceremony Nov. 22. David Sage, St. Joseph County Airport Authority board president, and Thomas Gryp, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union president and CEO, will be on hand for the ceremony.
“The airport is the first and last impression of a community,” said Mike Daigle, South Bend International Airport CEO and executive director, in a press release. “As we grow, we continue to look at the entire passenger journey from curb to gate.”
The new business center is sponsored by Notre Dame Federal Credit Union. The business center features views of the ramp and runway. There are power outlets at each seat and it is ADA accessible.
“Whether passengers need to get some work done or make a phone call, this new space offers the ideal setting with view of almost every gate,” Daigle said.
The ribbon cutting will take place 10 a.m. Nov. 22.
South Bend International Airport’s five air carriers provide nonstop flights to sixteen destinations. The airport’s multi-modal terminal serves over one million air and rail passengers each year. Last week, the airport celebrated Breeze Airways' inaugural flight to Washington Dulles International Airport.
