Lighthouse Autism Center expands footprint

Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center is set to open a new location in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The Lincoln Indian Village Autism Center will open its doors in early spring 2025. The new center is anticipated to support up to 30 families and generate over 45 new job opportunities in the area. The center’s services will include Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, speech therapy, diagnostic testing, virtual parent training and pre-academic learning.

“This expansion underscores our deep commitment to delivering exceptional, personalized services to the families and learners in this community,” said Nicole Smoker, Lighthouse Autism Center senior director of clinical operations, in a press release. “We are driven by our passion for supporting and empowering individuals with autism to reach their fullest potential.”

Lighthouse Autism Center has a network of centers spanning Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. The company was founded in 2012 by the parents of a child with autism. The new center marks Lighthouse Autism Center’s second location in Lincoln, Nebraska.

“As we embark on this new chapter, we eagerly anticipate collaborating with Nebraska families and local partners to enhance autism awareness and provide the crucial support that our families deserve to lead fulfilling, independent lives,” Smoker said.
