La Porte County Career and Technical Education is hosting a pancake breakfast fundraiser March 1.
The event celebrates Career and Technical Education Month. The breakfast provides an opportunity to celebrate and support the La Porte County Career and Technical Education students.
Proceeds will support the La Porte County Career and Technical Education programs. The programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences to help them prepare for future careers or further education.
Career and Technical Education Month highlights the importance of career and technical education. It recognizes student achievements and honors educators who guide students toward successful futures.
Attendees can enjoy a breakfast prepared by advanced culinary arts students under the guidance of Instructor Chef Angela Nipple. The advanced culinary arts program prepares students for careers in various food industry fields, including food production, nutrition and baking, through classroom instruction and hands-on experience.
During the breakfast, guests are also invited to visit A.K. Scissory, the program’s student-run salon, for Salon Saturday.
The event will take place 9 a.m. to noon March 1 at the La Porte County Career and Technical Education North Campus in Michigan City. Learn more here.
