Indiana University South Bend chancellor Susan Elrod was recently named to the Campus Compact board of directors.
Campus Compact is a national nonprofit organization. It supports, engages and challenges higher education. Member campuses make up a coalition of presidents, faculty, researchers, students, and community engagement leaders.
“I am excited to offer my experience and insight as we work together across our nation to serve as responsive and transformative agents of change,” Elrod said in a press release.
Elrod said that regional public universities like IU South Bend are anchor institutions in their communities.
