The GhostLight Theatre in Benton Harbor will begin its sixth season with the play “Clyde’s” Feb. 13.
“Clyde’s” was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage and director Aaron Reese Boseman. The play will be presented in The GhostLight’s Black Box Theatre space Feb. 13-23. A discussion panel with Brian Beals, moderated by James Gunter from Benton Harbor-based Present Pillars, will take place after the final production Feb. 23. The discussion is free and open to the public.
Paul Mow, artistic director, said the theatre is excited to bring Boseman back to direct the play.
“We have been discussing this production now for a couple of years and ‘Clyde’s’ is a terrific and engaging way to begin our sixth season,” Mow said in a press release. “As our mission intends, we strive to be a playhouse with a ‘diverse, creative and socially conscious culture with engaging and passionate performers.’”
The GhostLight Theatre’s season will include six additional productions:
- “The Last 5 Years” – April 10-13
- “Rent” – June 12-29
- “The Wolves” – July 17-20
- “Chess” – Aug. 14-24
- “The Rocky Horror Show” – Oct. 30 to Nov. 2
- “The Thanksgiving Play” – Nov. 13-23
