Elkhart County Area Guide released

Elkhart’s annual area guide highlights historical milestones and new amenities for tourism in Elkhart County in 2025.

The 76-page magazine showcases Elkhart County’s urban and rural spaces. The guide features more than 160 locally owned businesses, arts and cultural programs and celebrations.

The magazine is published yearly by the Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau. It will be available at the Elkhart County Visitor Center, businesses throughout the county and area chambers of commerce.

“It is a joy to share with the world all that makes Elkhart County a beloved well-crafted place,” said Jon Hunsberger, Elkhart County CVB executive director, in a press release. “Whether you’re a visitor or a lifelong resident or somewhere in between, you’ll find something new to love and cherish about our corner of the world.”

Each year, thousands of copies of the guide are distributed. They can be found at visitor centers, highway rest areas, tourist attractions and businesses throughout the Midwest. They are also mailed to people who request them and to subscribers of tourism magazines such as Midwest Living. The guide is also available online.

The Elkhart County 4-H Fair, Elkhart Jazz Festival, Goshen First Fridays, Nappanee Apple Festival and Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place again in 2025.

Notable developments and milestones include:

  • The Lerner Theatre is commemorating its 100th anniversary throughout the year with special events, concerts and performances.
  • Goshen Brewing Company is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
  • Wellfield Botanic Gardens is opening its expanded visitor center and event pavilion.
  • New restaurants will be opening in downtown Elkhart and downtown Goshen in the coming months.

The Elkhart County CVB is the tourism, marketing and community relations organization for the Elkhart County hospitality industry. It aims to advance quality-of-place initiatives that help forge social connections throughout Elkhart County.
