The Indiana Credit Union League recently awarded David Kish the 2024 Leadership Achievement Award.
Kish is a current Purdue Federal Credit Union board member. The announcement was made Oct. 4 during the league’s annual convention.
The Leadership Achievement Award, formerly the Volunteer Achievement Award, was established in 1990. The award honors credit union volunteers who exemplify the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” and advance Indiana’s credit union movement.
The award recognizes the impact Kish has made on Purdue Federal and the broader Indiana credit union community. It honors his involvement in promoting these values at community and organizational levels. Kish’s name will be added to a plaque displayed in the lobby of the league’s office.
The league’s awards committee or board conducts the nomination and selection process. They choose one recipient each year based on criteria related to credit union activities, volunteer work and community service.
Kish has been a Purdue Federal member for over 30 years. He was appointed to the board in 2014. In 10 years, he has served many roles, including board chair and treasurer. Kish is currently the director of Flex Lab and Kepner Laboratories in the College of Engineering at Purdue University.
Purdue Federal Credit Union was founded on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus in 1969. Its membership base includes students, faculty and staff and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate. The credit union is a member-owned financial cooperative with over 100,000 members nationwide.
