Rio Park Events, LLC. is a shared passion project and labor of love from husband and wife team Romulo Merino and Sarah Overholser.

After working freelance for various experiential marketing agencies across the USA and Canada, Sarah wanted to take her decade-long event production experience and apply it to creating a welcoming multi-purpose event venue in her hometown of South Bend, IN. Romulo, born and raised in Mexico, moved to South Bend to attend Indiana University – South Bend and, upon graduation, stayed in town to become an entrepreneur and invested his time in organizations benefiting the local Latin community.

The vision for Rio Park Events, LLC. came to life and opened its doors in October 2019. Rio Park offers a blank canvas for any event, big or small. Besides hosting private events such as weddings and quinceañeras, Rio Park also hosts public events from time to time.
